My Dad Is Cooler Than Your Dad....

Happy Father's Day!!!

Boston and I had so much fun spoiling Brian today... he made my Mother's Day so awesome so we had to try and top it! It was his first one too which makes it extra special so we/me-because-Boss-can't-do-anything got up really early to make dad breakfast in bed... yummy!

...so....early...

waffles and bacon.... LOTS of bacon. And of course presents!! What a lucky dad ;)

Then we were off to church and when we got back Brian said he got to pick out Boston's outfit since it was Father's Day haha... I usually don't exactly love the clothes Brian puts together... but I gotta say he looked pretty cute this time!

You can't really tell but he is wearing his little air jordans and his basketball get-up.... and yes, Brian brought the basketball for the photo too haha. Aren't they cute!?

We love daddy!

Then we had a yummy steak dinner and topped it off with a cookie dough Coldstone cake!
mmmm....

Then we let Brian pick the Sunday movie... lucky guy...
We watched it on his computer and Boston has recently discovered TV and LOVES it haha.... this is him pretty transfixed with the movie!

Love this little guy!

And then of course to end a perfect day for a perfect dad we watched the NBA game.... go Heat!!! (they lost but we don't want to talk about it....)

Boston and I can't sit through a whole game so we got a little distracted playing dress up and taking some selfies haha. Isn't this money hat so cute!?!?! Thanks auntie Rachel :)

It doubles as a toy too. Love my little monkey!!!

We love Brian lots and think he is the best dad ever! We had such a fun day and we think he did too.... can't wait for next year :) Happy Father's Day to all the daddies out there!

Buffet of Buffets!!

I got to go to Vegas for my anniversary this year!! Brian always spoils me.. we had SO MUCH FUN!!! We drove to St. George friday and dropped off the babies (Boston and Bandit) and headed off Saturday for a night of fun without them!!

Brian modeling on the strip!!

Now it was 110 degress there that day... so blasted hot!! So we tried to stay inside as much as possible, this is one of the very few pics we have outside haha.

I LOVE walking around and looking at all the different hotels. They are amazing! We of course didn't go to all of them but we hit all my favourites :)
In most of the hotels they have a version of this store where they sell signed stuff from famous people! We went into lots, they are actually really cool! But when we found this one I got PRETTY excited.... I am a HUGE F.R.I.E.N.D.S. fan and wanted this one SO BAD!!! Every picture is signed by that person and it was only $3,000! lol I told Brian I NEEDED it but he didn't seem to agree I guess.... loser. So this picture will have to do... :)

We even tried our luck on the slots haha! We put in a dollar and made six bucks!! It was pretty exciting and we were felling pretty good, so we kept going aaaaannnd.... lost every penny. Guess we weren't that lucky after all.... haha

What else did we do you may ask... well... let me tell you about this little thing called the Buffet of Buffets Pass. That's right.... for 24 hours you can go to the buffets as many time as you want!! Now I would not suggest this for those who are trying to watch their figure (which I am but we will skip over that little detail...) We basically would eat till we felt sick... walk around to a few hotels until we felt a little better and do it again haha. It sounds disgusting (and it probably is a little bit) but we LOVE eating haha and had so much fun doing it. This is a pic of my fav one in the Rio, they had food from all over the world! All you can eat crab legs and gellato? Doesn't get much better than that!!

We went to Paris for breakfast on Sunday! It was the coolest one by far! It's hard to tell (my camera broke so all we have is our old iPod haha) but every little building is actually a different food station! It was so cute. I have never been to Paris, but it felt like I was there!

Crepes made to order.... mmm

And of course in Paris is my fav store the Candy Factory! I have one of the blinged out lollipop holders from there so we had to stop in and get me some refills! I feel like a celebrity when I go in there haha.

We were pretty pooped after walking all day so went back to our hotel (Circus, Circus) and they had a free Circus going on! This is Bri watching the trapeze people, they were amazing! We played a few arcade games too which was fun.

And I got beautiful flowers to top it all off!! It was such a fun weekend, wish we could do it a lot more! But then it probably wouldn't be quite as cool haha.

And it being my first night away from Boston I think I did pretty good... I would see a cute baby on the strip once in a while and think "awww, I miss my little Boss" but it lasted about 5 seconds and I got over it pretty fast haha

He was having lot's of fun with grandma and grandpa and didn't even notice we were gone!!
He is getting so big! I don't like it....

We don't go into the doctor until the end of the month to get his 6 month shots so I have no idea what he weighs, but he is sure eating a lot of fruits and veggies now and loves them! He is in 3-6 month clothes and sleeps from 8:30-8:00 pretty good now and is rolling over finally!!! woohoo

Here a a couple videos of the greatly anticipated roll haha..

The day he did it but not the first one (does anyone ever catch the first on video!?)

Today!! He is just the cutest... :)

My Perfect Love Story...

I am laying in bed at 2 in the morning (I think I am inheriting my dads insomnia... awesome...) realizing that it is our 3rd anniversary today! Yes, it snuck up on me this year.... and as I lay beside my snoring husband and dog, and faintly hear my snoring baby in the next room (who is 6 months old now by the way.... when did that happen?),  I can't help but think of how awesome my life is! Now this is not a post everyone in the world (not that the whole world cares about my blog) is gonna want to read.... so why post it? Well because this is my form of journal, and I can do what I want here! And yes, this is very public and not all things should be shared on public blogs, but my posterity may be reading this one day!!! And if they are and I am gone, I want to be able to say to them... I hope you pick/have picked someone who makes you as happy as Brian makes me!

Our dating days!! Seems like forever ago.. haha

It wasn't exactly easy in the beginning...  being second cousins and all (this may come as a shock to some people reading this who don't know hahah), we had quite a few people upset at us (yes, yes... we are aware it is weird) and have had some pretty upsetting things said... so mean in fact, that we almost gave up. We still have our family and real friends though and it is the BEST decision I have ever made! If  I could do my life over again, the only thing I would change would be to date him sooner! I am grateful everyday for Brian and my happy marriage. When you are making a decision of who to spend eternity with...  there are more important things to consider than mean people's opinions who aren't even in your family (who's lives, by the way, are not effected by your decision in the slightest)

"Haters gonna hate"

Eternity is a long time....so I hope you find someone who makes you happy. I hope you find someone who lets you be you.... but who makes you a better version. Better at your job, a better church member, a better friend, and just a better person in general. I hope you find someone who lifts you up and supports you in everything and anything you want to do. I hope you treat each other with love and respect everyday. I REALLY hope you find someone who makes you laugh and smile every single day :) I hope you get married in the Temple. And if you didn't well.... I pray you remember what is really important in life and that you work together to go someday so we can all be together forever and ever!!! (It will be fun I promise....)

Married!!

And I REALLY, REALLY hope that when you decide to start your own family.....
your kids turn out half as cute as mine!!

And if hard times ever come your way....
(yup... same child haha)
I hope you will lean on each other and that they will bring you closer together as a family.

Marriage is hard sometimes (I know some of you are thinking 3 years? You know nothing, you are newly weds!) but I already know in these 3 short years that with Brian and the gospel, I can do anything!

I have never doubted Brian and I love him more every day. I hope my family and my future family (and the whole world really) get's to have that someday. I am truly blessed!
Still feels like the honeymoon sometimes!

This guy has everything on my "check-list" and then some. He gave me my perfect love story! And if you don't know our story.... well I wrote everything down, from the day we started dating to the wedding day in my paper journal! It's probably the only thing in there haha. So if you are reading this and I am not around to tell it to you.... go find it and read it! It's pretty awesome :)

This was a weird post for me, I rarely share my feelings this publicly. In fact, I am kind of against it haha. So this will most likely be the last post of it's kind. If you read it and hated it well.... I warned you. Brian knows how much I love him and I tell him in person everyday. Maybe at our 50yr I will blog again and see how differently my blog turns out. (Will we still have blogs in 50 years!? that will be weird.....) But one thing is for sure, I will still be with Brian and still be the happiest girl on the planet.

Marriage rocks!!!! Happy Anniversary Brian!
