Eggs, Eggs, and more Eggs!

We made our Easter Eggs!

I absolutely LOVE doing traditional Ukrainian eggs! It is SO time consuming haha but so fun! I could only convince Brian to do one egg this year, but considering one egg takes like 45 min I would say that's pretty good! He hates stuff like this but he does it cuz he loves me! I will let you guess which one is his :)

I was so excited to help Boss make one this year! I figured beeswax and fire was a little risky and messy with a 2 year old haha. So we just used crayons for his :)

He did pretty good! He of course needed a basketball on his so I helped him with that...

He thought smashing the eggs on the table was the funnest part so we went through a couple...

Putting it in the dye!

He thought the dye looked appetizing....  news flash, it's not.

All done! He wouldn't let the egg go so I never got a good picture of it. It was pretty cute though!

He loved helping me peel the egg and then eating it! I think it's disgusting, I have never been a big fan of eggs... but he seemed to enjoy them!

Love this guy! He is getting so big! It is SO FUN having a kid old enough to participate in things! Brian likes it too because now that I have Boston he doesn't have to participate quite as much haha. Hence the one egg....

I love having a two year old! He can be such a fart at times and is starting to get really good at tantrums, but for the most part he is so fun and hilarious! We definitely have a more exciting home since he came along :)

And this little dude is getting so big!!!!

He is 9 months old now!!! He is FINALLY starting to sit pretty good on his own and is just a few days away form crawling!!! what!?!? He gets on all 4's all the time and has done a few forward "steps". It won't be long now!! Having two kids on the move is a scary thought haha.

He is starting to chat almost as much as his older brother now too! He does these hilarious "yells" to let us know he is there, it cracks me up.

He is in 12 month clothes now and is finally starting to love solid food. I swear this kid... he really is so lazy and chill. I think he would have been "behind" even if he was a term kid but throw those 2 early months in there and he seems so little compared to the other 9 month olds. But that's just what we are used to over here with these preemies. But he is the best and cutest baby in the WHOLE WORLD!!!!! I love him to death!

I really do love having two boys! Everyone knows how badly I would love a girl but watching these two boys play and laugh together is my absolute favorite thing!

They are starting to play a lot together and it makes me so excited for when they are a little older and getting into trouble together haha. They are already best friends!

And last post I mentioned that I had a new little NEICE! Well, I got a special surprise visit from her on Friday!!
Rachel's mom needed to come to Provo before she went home to California to get her brother ready for his mission in a couple weeks! And since Brent and his parents were in Las Vegas for the week for work Rachel and Paisley came down to visit while her mom went shopping! Yay for me!!!

I love this little girl! She is so cute and so GOOD! I got so many snuggles in that day and it was amazing!!! I love little babies! Especially when I don't have to be up all night with them :)

But now I am just trying to keep myself busy so this week goes by fast because on Friday we get to start our trek up to CANADA!!!!

It is gonna be a loooonnnggg 17 hr drive but I am SO excited to go home with my whole family for a week! YAY!!! Many pictures to come!

St. George!

We went on a little holiday to St. George last weekend...
...which of course meant lots of yummy cookies from grandma!!

But we mostly went to go meet our new little niece Paisley Laurel-Ann Hill :)
She is just the cutest little thing! We all love her so much already, she is going to be SO SPOILED!!!

She was a week overdue but still only 7lbs, she seemed so tiny! She was in the NICU for 2 days cuz she needed some antibiotics so we didn't get to visit as much as I wanted but Rachel and Paisley are home now and doing great!! The labour was pretty traumatic lol... 17 hrs I think and then they ended up having a c-section! Which was a good thing because the cord was around her little neck 4 TIMES!! So many blessings.... we are so glad she is here!

We were there just for the weekend so we really only had Saturday to play but we sure did a lot! Like we always do... Ron and Laurel sure know how to have fun!

Ron bought a new toy, which Boss is pretty much obsessed with now haha. We started it up and it was so loud and scary (I was scared and I think any other 2 year old would have been too haha) but that boy started running to it as fast as he could and wanted in immediately!!

He went on a few fun trail rides and did NOT want to leave... he is all boy. He now not only asks to go in grandpa's boat, but in his the razer too!

When we got back grandma had planned a little easter egg hunt for Boss man!

He wanted to stop and eat each chocolate before carrying on haha but he caught on and had a lot of fun! Him and Banner got some sweet gifts from the Easter Bunny, they are pretty spoiled!

Him and Grandma finding eggs!

one of his gifts was this ADORABLE Boston jersey... I am obsessed with it! He is SO CUTE!

straight baller..

Banner got lots of goodies too even though he didn't find his eggs very good haha.

I love these boys :)

I love that we live close enough to Brian's family that we can go and visit on a weekend. I love spending time with them, just wish we could do it more!! But we get to go up to Canada in two weeks now and I can't wait!!! So I will take lots of pictures then too!

Patty's 2015!!

St. Patrick's Day is upon us yet again and I couldn't be more excited!!!

I'm not sure where I got my love for this "holiday" (if thats what you call it haha), I always thought it was from my mom but I just learned that I came home from Kindergarten one day and begged my mom to make a trap for the leprechauns. She had never heard of that before and thought I was completely crazy but obliged, and my dad loves me so he helped me make my first trap, and the rest is history I guess! As soon as I moved out the festivities ended at home haha so I guess I have my Kindergarten teacher to thank for this obsession!!

I have the best husband EVER who goes along with all my crazy... the boys made really good traps this year (while watching basketball of course)

We use lucky charms to catch our leprechauns and Boss got a little side tracked from the crafts.... haha

Ready to finally catch one this year!!!

Boston's basketball trap :)

My Leprechaun Inn... there are lucky charms and glue at the bottom!

Brian's Leprechaun Oasis lol pretty impressive if I do say so myself!!

When you pull the stick the meadow turns into quicksand! I told Brian we are going to be asleep when they come so who is gonna pull the stick? He didn't seem to be too concerned haha. Needless to say he didn't catch one this year...

Our green bounty!!! We got some masks, bubbles, pop and candies. And they even left us a rainbow this year too!! You know... I have been making traps for 25 years now and have never caught a single leprechaun...

We got "Rainbow Seeds" this year!

Boston was so excited when he woke up and saw all of this! It is SO FUN having a kid that is getting old enough to catch on! We have had a healthy breakfast of skittles and mountain dew so it's been a pretty good day...

The little leprechaun used our toilet this year before leaving!!

He thought this was hilarious haha. So fun!

This is the breakfast I made for everyone... lucky charms, green juice and cupcakes haha. Like I said... we are being so healthy today.

Playing with the masks the leprechauns left us!

These two crack me up, they giggle and laugh together so much it is the best thing to see ever!

Boss wasn't sure about these at first but now he won't take it off! I have already had to tape it back together 2 times haha... our leprechauns are pretty cheap.

We have been having a lot of fun today and can't wait for Brian to get home from work so we can have a green dinner and green white chocolate brownies!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

This Old Man...

Brian is 27 years old!! When did that happen?

We didn't do a whole lot on his birthday to be honest haha... we were are really, really sick. In fact I think I am STILL trying to get 100% better. But we had a steak dinner after work and a DQ Blizzard cake for dessert, opened presents, and then watched basketball games all night haha. A perfect day for Brian..
Here is the infamous cake... this was the biggest headache!! Since moving to Springville the only DQ around is like a 45 min drive round trip (just because of downtown driving). So the fact that I had to go back 6 TIMES for this stupid thing was just insane. Trip 1: Go in to order it because no one would answer the dang phone and of course this DQ does't do online ordering. Trip 2: Pick up the cake. Trip 3: Take the cake back after cutting it and realizing they made a normal DQ cake instead of a blizzard cake.... and yes, it is BIG difference. Trip 4: Picking up the new cake 2 days later (that's how long it takes them to make one) only to get there to find out they gave it away to someone else. Trip 5: Going back in just to order another one with the manager because the girl that was working when they gave my cake away was seriously useless and couldn't do anything. I actually had to start kinda yelling which I don't think I have ever done in a store before haha but I finally go him to agree to give me my money back and still make me a new cake. Trip 6: FINALLY getting the real cake I ordered 2 weeks ago, but I still had to wait 45 min for them to finish it because you know... getting there 5 hours after you told them to have it ready is just too early I guess. OMG you guys I was so mad. And if Brian did't love these stupid cakes so much I would not have gone through all the trouble. But it was the only thing we had planned for his birthday so I was determined to get it right haha. But he got 2 ice cream cakes out of it so he is happy. Lesson learned: do NOT order cakes from the provo DQ, drive the extra 15 min to the American Fork one :)

Anyway... sorry for the rant but I feel much better now haha. Boys picking off the cookie doughs before the song is even over! Typical...

Going to the backyard to show daddy is present, he was so surprised!!!

A basketball hoop for the driveway!! Because, you know... every family needs like 16 hoops amiright?

It has been pretty rainy here so it was a few days before we could cement it in and then you have to let it sit for 4 days before playing on it.. so actually last night was the first time these boys tested it out!

They were out here forever having the best time haha. They are so cute. Boss loves to watch his dad play, almost as much as playing himself!

Let's just say that having to come in for bed time was a bit of a tragedy...

I did get a babysitter on the weekend and took Brian to a Jazz game and dinner so he did end up having  good birthday I think! Can't believe we are getting close to 30!!!

In other news... we bought a new, old van!! I know.. beige. It defy would not have been my top choice but this van is actually awesome! I really love it!

We were taking our odyssey in literally like every other month for MAJOUR repairs... we had to get a new engine, transmission, seatbelt, battery, radiator, brakes... like honestly what can go wrong in a van? because we fixed it. We were so sick of putting so much money into that thing so we sold it and got a newer Sienna. We got it for a good deal and it has hardly any miles on it and I'll be honest... the Siennas deffs are not as fun or high tech as the odyssey but I think this drives 100x nicer. I love it! We have been told that the 2005/2006 odysseys were terrible and well, we agree! haha so if you are looking for an old van don't get that year of odyssey!!!!

My cousin Brady went into the MTC a couple of weeks ago! I got to pick him up from the airport and then he spent a night with us before we dropped him off! Boston loved him... He is going to the same mission as Brian's brother Spencer, Novia Scotia! He will do awesome :) I love that my boys have so many good examples to look up to! We have the best family ever.

And these little gaffers... they keep me busy but are so fun!

Boston: Just graduated to 3T clothes, eats like a monster, still loves bball, still taking one 2 hr nap and sleeping 12 hrs at night, loves his puppy and little brother, loves to be outside and "ride his bike" (he just sits on it) haha, loves Frozen, Tarzan and Daniel the Tiger (we had a little Tinkerbell phase there that I was enjoying but his dad has put an end to that lol), won't go to sleep without one story which is green eggs and ham lately, and just as cute and crazy as ever!

Banner: Just tuned 9 months old!! He is in 9 month clothes, eating baby food 3x a day, taking 2-3 naps a day and sleeping 12-13 hrs at night, rolling and "Crawling" backwards everywhere! He is still struggling with sitting which is funny to me, he is gonna crawl before he can sit! He will sit ok for a couple min but then fall down, he loves to suck on blankets, its the only toy he needs/wants, and still has no teeth! I think he is getting 4 teeth at the same time right now which hopefully is the explanation to how bad he has been the past couple of days!! He is usually SO easy and happy but I haven't hardly been able to put him down, he is driving me CRAZY but I'll guess we will still keep him...

And this has been happening a lot lately. I love watching these boys starting to play together, they are already best friends! Banner thinks his brother is hilarious, which he is!

But we are just getting ready for our trip to St. George when our little NEICE gets here in a couple days!! And then our long trip up to see Canadian grandma and grandpa over Easter! We will be there a week and I am so excited! We have a fun, busy spring/summer and can't believe the first of our trips are already here! Yay!
